- -Hi,
- -
- -i'm trying to connect my 14400 baud modem to the telephone line
- -(France). Since i'm using existing cables in the house, anyone of you
- -knows which two, among four, have to be connected from the telephone
- -socket to the modem: yellow, black, red, green?
- -i do think that two of them are enough to get the modem working
- -properly, even if an eventual telephone connected to the modem won't
- -work. I'm not able to find any documentation about it, i believe this
- -convention is universal and not France restricted. Thanks a lot for help
- -to all of you.....

- In the US, at least, it is red and green (on a modular jack, the pair in the
- center of a RJ11) If you have it attached correctly, the pass-through phone
- jack should operate fine.... if France stuff is the same.
